Signed album page of eccentric character actress Zeffie Tilbury (1863-1950). Best remembered for playing Grandma Joad in John Ford’s The Grapes of Wrath (1940), with Henry Fonda. Tilbury is also known for playing wise or evil older characters in films, such as the distinguished lady gambler at dinner with Greta Garbo in The Single Standard, and Grandma Lester in Tobacco Road. Included with autograph is an original 10 x 8 portrait of Tilbury in Federal Bullets (1937), in which she had a rare leading role opposite Milburn Stone.
