Vintage Football Cap 1930. Unbelievable Condition for age. Birmingham

£94.30

Blue BvS cap 1930. Almost 100 years old and it looks like new. No rips or loose stitching. Possibly once belonged to Fred Slater (unsubstantiated claim by former owner with same surname who claimed to be a relation) Research (see photos) states: In 1930, Birmingham's sporting landscape was deeply rooted in local industrial leagues, football and a booming cricket scene. A major highlight was the 1931 FA Cup run where Birmingham F.C. reached the Wembley final, narrowly losing to local rivals West Bromwich Albion in the BvS (Birmingham vs. Sandwell) local derby. Football Derbies (BvS): The fierce local rivalry between Birmingham F.C. (now Birmingham City F.C.) and West Bromwich Albion dominated West Midlands football.
