This is genuine early pattern Durham Constabulary Police Helmet. The helmet is in good order. It has the original leather headband. The chin strap is not complete The badge has a japanned star and crown with the silver coloured Durham Constabulary crest in the centre. It also retains crested ridge insignia. A very small size which also equates to its age. 6 7/8ths. The Officers name is written in the leather headband.
