In 1962 all the pieces were in place for Beatlemania to occur. Their first album released in 1962 'Release the Beatles' was quite successful in the USA. In 1964 on their maiden voyage to the United States they appeared on the Ed Sullivan show, played at Carnegie Hall and in Washington DC they were a instantaneous success.
