It shows Cavendish winning his 34th Tour de France stage, equalling the long-standing record held by five-times winner Eddy Merckx. Cav made a sensational comeback to the Tour in 2021, winning four stages in breathtaking fashion. After years of injury, illness and loss of form, the Manx Missile was only drafted in as his team's main sprinter a week before the tour began, when injury befell Sam Bennett. He won stages four, six, ten and 13, claiming victory in the points classification in what was surely the greatest sporting comeback of all time.
