The 1975 24 Hours of Le Mans gave Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell their first shared overall victory at La Sarthe, in the Gulf-liveried Mirage GR8-Cosworth run by John Wyer's outfit. The win marked Gulf's final outright Le Mans triumph and closed a remarkable era of British-entered Cosworth-DFV-powered prototypes.
