The 1975 Le Mans 24 Hours stands as one of the great endurance results for the Gulf-liveried Mirage GR8. It was the first overall Le Mans win for a DFV-engined prototype and Ickx's fourth victory at La Sarthe on his way to becoming the race's most successful driver of his era.
