OLIVER BERTRAM started racing whilst still up at Cambridge and from speed trials there ended up as one of the fastest drivers ever on the Brooklands Outer Circuit. By profession a barrister, and one of the few holders of two B.R.D.C. Gold Stars, Oliver Bertram is best known for his handling of the 10� litre Delage and the 8-litre Bentley with which he lapped at 142 m.p.h.
