A great example of a Brass Protector Minors lamp The Protector Lamp & Lighting Co. was established in 1873. They originally grew into fame by producing robust Davy-style flame safety lamps designed to prevent catastrophic methane gas explosions in coal mines. The lamp is approximately 26cm tall The lamp is in good condition for its age, but has obviously been used, so has marks and imperfections consistent with its vintage.
