The print shows a scene on the dance floor at the Torch, in Tunstall, Stoke on Trent. The Torch was one of the biggest Northern Soul Clubs of the 1970's. Although a small club, the Torch was the biggest Northern Soul venue in 1972, after the Twisted Wheel closed and before Wigan Casino opened.
