Miners Safety Lamp, Protector Type GR6S, 1987.

The lamp is constructed to Type GR6S (Garforth remote sampler) Bonneted Marsault design and was used underground by officials for gas testing with a remote sampling nozzle to the side of the base plate to access high or concealed areas.
