The race depicted is the 84th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 18–19 June 2016, where the Chip Ganassi-run #68 Ford GT of Joey Hand, Dirk Müller and Sébastien Bourdais took LM GTE Pro honours after a 24-hour duel with the Risi Competizione #82 Ferrari 488 GTE shared by Giancarlo Fisichella, Toni Vilander and Matteo Malucelli.
