Charbro’ Hunt Button. 22mm. Hunt Button Circa 1820Back mark: Extra Rich Gilt LondonCharborough Park in Dorset was owned by the Erle-Drax family. In 2010 buttons in three styles were discovered still attached to the makers card and sold at Lawrence’s Auction House in Somerset. This included two styles for the Charborough Foxhounds and one for a Harrier pack. This is the more ‘picturesque’ style for the Foxhound pack. This makes these a rare thing of being Georgian (c1820) and yet ‘as new’.
