This is a framed and glazed sketch by George Denholm Arthur, whose illustrations appeared frequently in both Punch and Country Life. He is more notable for his drawings of equestrian sports, but here he turns his eye to boat racing. This may be a print of one of his cartoons or an actual page taken from a magazine and mounted. The frame is roughly 10” by 12” and a little bit work in places especially to the gold gilt. The image is in nice condition and the frame is ready to hang.
