An early, rare and unusual photograph of the Lancashire County Cricket XI, which played against the 22 of Isle of Man in 1888. It is beautifully framed with mount . The team includes legendary Lancashire players such as Pilling, Barlow and (A N) Hornby and is fully named. There is a small break and foxing to the attractive mount but the item is in good overall conditon. The sepia image has slightly faded with age but is clear. The frame measures 18in x 10in and the photograph itself 9.5in x 7in.
