This is a 1973 Eccles protector no6 RS protector lamp , I believe this came from the East Hetton pit Kelloe County Durham, infamous for a disaster in the 1880s , the pit initials are stamped on the side, it also has the STOLEN stamp on bonnet , I have not opened this as I don’t have a magnet strong enough, it is bought as seen , it is a well used lamp as can be seen from wear on brass name plate the glass is in unbroken condition, I think these where used for testing by the deputies , see photos,thanks for viewing
