A superb and quite rare Alfred De Courcy William Dowler & Sons nickel silver general service whistle. The two piece top of patent 101303 of 1916 can be seen on p54 of More Whistles. This one is rarely seen. Certainly one of De Courcy’s best, in fantastic condition. 87mm long, 53 grams, heavy, with original chain.
