One of the people Sukita has taken the most photographs of over the years is world-renowned artist David Bowie, who passed away much to the shock of his fans in January 2016. Sukita began photographing Bowie in the 1970s, and while this helped the photographer gain recognition, many of his photographs are now recognized internationally as symbolic portraits of Bowie.
