The 1996 participation medal was designed by Malcolm Grear Designers. It is made of bronze, measures 60 mm in diameter, and weighs about 60 grams. The front features the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games emblem along with the text "Games of the XXVI Olympiad," while the reverse depicts a stylized quilt of leaves.
