This very special first day cover with a full set of the 1966 World Cup 'phosphor' stamp issue & cancelled at Wembley, Middx. on 1st June, also bears the original signature of perhaps the most important person involved in the event, the England manager Alf Ramsey. Earning a well deserved Knighthood, Sir Alf until now 60 years on, is still the only manager to have led the England football team to these heights which makes this cover such an important collectable.
