During WW1, this booklet was an aid to Boy Scouts who helped the Fire Brigade. Diagrams and photographs throughout. The booklet is written in sections covering aspects of rescue such as the fireman's lift, and shute escapes and training on the various parts of the fire extinguishing appliances such as extinguishers, fire hydrants, hoses,etc.
